I’m wondering if any kind individuals could please give me feedback for a research question I’m looking into in relation to my website?

I am trying to structure my content as best as possible to give maximum value to the user. To do this I’d like a little data instead of just making assumptions and “diving in”. THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN (hopefully;))

It’s literally one question asking you to rank seven factors #1-7 for a specific scenario. That’s it! It will literally take you 20-30 seconds of your time but will help me a great deal.

Thank you so much in advance to anyone who can help me out with this. I will be eternally grateful :D

Just wanted to say a huge thanks for all the responses so far. I really appreciate your help.

I've managed to get 36 responses so far. My target is 50, hopefully not long till I can publish the results :)

Okay everyone... The results are in.

Thanks so much for all your responses I really appreciate your time and input.

So the most important factors for people reading job descriptions are (in order):

    1. Specific job roles/duties
    2. Applicant criteria and required skills
    3. Average rate of pay
    4. Job benefits
    5. Scope for development and enhancement
    6. Details of employers currently hiring within the industry
    7. Size of the industry job market

If you would like to see the full broken down results I've published them here:

    Job description research findings

    Thanks everyone!

I think your results might be a little skewed- You didn't state which one is best. Is it Best: 1, Worst: 7 or is it Best: 7, Worst 1?

Hey thanks for this. When I was taking responses this was clearly stated that #1 is most important and #7 is least important.

I changed the wording for presentations sake after I had stopped taking responses.

Thanks, more data is always good. It'll mean I can update the results on my site in future if more people do happen to fill it out!
