My Cordless Headphones. Hifi is whired up to TV, DVD and Freeview box (gurt tree in the way of any possibility of a Dish, and no cable where I live) has a range of 30m so anywhere in the house, office in the garden without a problem. Absolutely love 'em to bits and is fantastic when wife and daughter get Jaw Boning during anything I wanna watch...

My handheld scanner, perfect for scanning in post for emailing to my client - I know it's a bit sad, but it saves me soooo much time so it saves them money too...

A new gizmo bought yesterday - World Card Duet 2 business card scanner.

I can now get all those boxes of business cards into a database without typing for hours!

I'm currently addicted to my iPhone, but there are loads of gadgets I bought but didn't actually 'need'

    - a Packard Bell 10" screen netbook
    - travel DVD player
    - electric egg boiler (yep, really)
    - business card scanner I've used once

    I could go on....

It has to be my Xbox, nothing more relaxing than spending a couple of hours chopping wood in Fable.

I'll second that. My first automatic camera was a Canon back in pre-digital days. It had done well in reviews and won a European Camera of the Year award, but the auto setting was geared to high speed rather than aperture. I had to use manual mode to get the depth of field effects I was after, and ended up using the automatic setting only for typical snapshots.

The gadget on my current wish list is an iPhone. I'm not normally into fancy mobile phones, but a friend was showing me the other night what his iPhone could do and I could see a use for it. In particular, as an occasional Mac software developer, I can see an income potential with one.

Pair of large and very expensive at the time of BOSE 301 loudspeakers !

(in the days BOSE where focused on the sound produced rather than the ascetics)

They have outlived two amplifiers and two CD Players and I suspect will outlive me

I have to say I have so many gadgets that I love but could easily without them (I think), my PS3, netbook and ipod dock.

I have to say though I'd struggle without my iPhone I'm seriously hooked

It would have to be a pair of audiophile quality headphones/earphones.

Before I was involved with my current company, I thought I was listening to great quality music, but until you get the chance to listen to lossless music ( unlike compressed mp3's) through some quality 'cans' you just do not appreciate how much you have been missing.

It's like going from an old 20 inch CRT TV, to a 50 inch high definition flat screen. It's the same picture but now you get to see/hear the detail the musicians intended you to experience.

If you have not done so already, get yourself an electric can opener.

    Trust me.

My favourite gadget has to be my Time Machine.

Sadly it only takes me back as far as the 1980's and the soundtrack is usually Wham and Duran Duran.
