    Alrighty There People!

Just wondering what mobile phone you use, and what features you like the most?

I'm currently on a Nokia N95. Great camera, great video shooting capabilities, good quality MP3 player - and, of course, has an adequate diary, GPS and maps, WLAN, and makes and receives calls. Fantastic.

What you got? Come on, bet there's plenty of iPhones and Blackberries out there...

    HTC Touch Pro

I've only had it a few days but have installed a few apps including TomTom Navigator which is brilliant... and a lightsabre thing

The Touch-Flo interface is nice too, though it took a bit of getting used to.

Yeah, I got that Lightsabre app too, thought it was well cool. I've also got loads of animated themes, like BMW's with their lights flashing... but I'm geeky like that :)

Anything that is tough and can take a good beating about. No time for a mobile phone that is anything but a mobile phone.

Always funny when I turn up to buy a phone and the poor sales people look at me like I'm insane when I describe the phone I want. Tough, no frills, no camera, no music, no games, no nothing apart from a phone - you can see them looking around the shop for hidden cameras.:?:

I use an iPhone 3G. The most useful feature is push email as I am out and about a lot and its good to keep up to date with what's what. I also get a lot of use out of the calender as it syncs with my computers and keeps me organised. Another good app that I have is iXpenseIt which keeps track of what I have spent and where.

Nokia N95 here as well. Ticks all the boxes for me...

    Sturdy
    Decent Camera
    GPS
    Good video
    Loads of supported apps
    Good user interface

    Etc etc.

Where can phones go next? When I uprgade in a years time will I care about another 2 mega pixels, I don't use it as an MP3 so i'm not fussed on memory, it already has GPS built in - not sure what else i'd need really.

Have phones been re-invented to the point of pointlessness? By that I mean is there really anything else to be crammed into the next gen of phones? I don't get as excited by mobiles as I did 10 years ago or even 5 years ago. I just go for practicality over features. I guess i'm getting old but the technology doesn't excite me anymore.

Nokia..dont know the model number, but got it recently. It appears to be made of steel!..I can drop it, throw it, step on it, and it still works.

    And it makes phone calls.

I have a beautiful digital camera, and an HDD video camera. Neither of them make phone calls. I am too old for this world!!!

I have a HTC Touch Diamond (o2 xda ignito) and a Nokia N95 (which will hopefully be replaced by a HTC Touch Pro, or S740 at some point)

Nokia N95, the GPS alone has saved me countless times, never mind the email, internet, decent camera and oh! I can make calls on it too!

T-Mobile MDA III - It has a proper keyboard so you don't have to do that silly figure dance to send text messages and e-mails.

Are you completely happy with the IPhone?
Just I'm changing/finishing contract early in the new year and its currently a toss up between the IPhone and BlackBerry Storm.

So would you recommend the Iphone?

    Hiya DOT

I know you from another forum...a design based one with Toon as a host...anyway

    I will be totaly honest..

    answer these questions

    Do you use bluetooth headfones?

Do you share pics/movies with mates using bluetooth?

Do u want to send MMS to friends?

Do u want to take good pics worth sharing on your phone?

If you answer yes to these questins dont bother with iphone unless your mates have them to.

the iphone looks stunning..it performs stunning..
But has alot of flaws that a fone of its calibre should'nt have.
I mean you cant send MMS you have to send as email...

I cant comment on the storm as ihavnt seen one yet...

    Hi Neal

Yes the forum your thinking of is: Graphic Design Forum and Web Design Forum

I answered no to alot of your questions so I think it might be for me :)

I take your points though, I know it has problems but I'm still drawn to it, I'm a sucker for Apple products though, thanks for your help Neal.
