Worksop Turbine Innovation Centre is getting ready to host an unusual world record attempt. Sheffield based training company, Sharp End Training is preparing for an attempt on the world record for the longest non-stop continuous webinar.

The webinar (web based meeting) is set to run for 36 hours over 25th & 26th June and features 36 speakers from the UK, US, Canada, Russia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Greece and Italy who will each speak for 1 hour.

Jonathan Senior - owner of Sharp End Training - who is coordinating the effort said "We are delighted to have put together such a varied cast of experts. With several published authors and professional speakers. Each one has been hand-picked for their expertise.”

Paul Hastings, centre manager of the Turbine said "The event fits perfectly with our view of making the centre of innovation and excellence in the region. We are delighted to help Jonathan and his team."

Jonathan said "One of the conditions of the world record attempt is that the event must be free to attend for the public and because the turbine have big screen technology, we can do this both live and through the web."

"US based Bob Nicoll, global strategic partner with business networking group BNI, has agreed to close the event and be the one to actually break the record, but it really is a team effort" added Jonathan.

Local businesses can get involved as the event is a not-for-profit, full details of the help needed is on longestwebinar.com

The longest webinar world record attempt takes place from 10am 25th June to 10pm 26th June at the Turbine Innovation Centre, Shireoaks Triangle Business Park, Worksop.
