Nice introduction to facebook for business. Unfortunately I believe the 'suggest to friends' link is now disabled, so it is very hard to get up to 100 fans!

I can of course return the favour...

I've recently set up a new Facebook page. Just now my fans are me, my b/friend and a mate... lol Would like to think that I'll gain a few more to join the party at some point.

If you're not seeing much from your fan page, then maybe you are looking at it the wrong way round. The facebook fan page is ok, but really you want exposure of your business on facebook, so your web link (not your fan page) is blasted across peoples walls.

If you added the like buttons on your website, anyone that clicked this, will then have that put on their wall. If they leave a comment, even better. So if 1 person clicks your like button, and has 50 friends, that 1 x 50 potential exposure across 50 walls.

Here's a snap shot of our last weeks stats which may make more sense:

We had 180 likes from our site, which created 78,030 impressions on peoples walls, and generated 326 clicks from facebook to our site.

Admittedly its still small potatoes, and not exactly google, but it is ongoing automated promotion, that free's you up for more productive marketing.

No doubt some fan pages do really well, but personally, I don't see the point. I want facebook traffic going to my site, not to facebook...

You can use Facebook as your page now so you should be able to. I've just liked ukbl from Chatr :)

    Edit:

Looks like you can "like" as a page but it shows on your page under likes. Doesn't seem to increase the like tally on the other page.
