I work for a company that has offices in multiple locations. Whilst most of the work is conducted centrally in the HQ country, each office has its own clients and its own sales processes.

At the moment, the website for the company functions as a single unit, offering multiple language versions on one core URL.

There has been the idea to create different sites for each office (/country) in order to make it more relevant for each area. The concern is that this will affect search metrics and may confuse any users about where to search for the company's website.

What is everyones thoughts on this?
