I use www.openmindhosting.com - and I've stuck with them because of their rock-solid, stable service. Their support's not bad either!

What's your and why?

We use Rack Space they may be a little more expensive that some others out there but the level of service we get is just briliant !

I have a dedicated server with UK2 and shared hosting with Phil at Open Mind, both highly recommended.

I use carl (csnewmedia)!

Carl and his team respond promptly to all my enquries even weekends (should I have said that? : P ) The price is very decent for the high level of personal service you receive.

I'm a customer of Carl's, and can recommend his service based on my own experiences, and those of others I've spoken to.

YICHosting are also good, and well worth a look, if only because I did their website

Great reliability and support, always with a personal touch. But then I would say that

I have recently been looking for a host that will let me host a number of domains that can have access to ssl space in their own domain name.

I can find hosting for one domain, but none that let me add more domains to the account with ssl space. The thing is I want to offer my customers the chance of seeing I take their privacy seriously and use ssl space for my sites.

Is this a silly, unworkable idea - or does someone have any suggestions?

We offer hosting plans that can host multiple domains and each domain can have it's own SSL certificate.

We use Bluepark Solutions, who also provide our ecommerce web-design/builder solution. I have worked in the IT industry for too many years to mention, and I can safely say I have never seen such excellent service and support.

Our clients won't accept anything less than Tier 1 hosting for the applications we host of their behalf - for that part of the business we use RACKSPACE and they Rock!! These guys live customer service.

For high bandwidth and space where the requirements are not 'bulletproof' I use Bluehost. The deal is incredible - £3.50 a month for more space and bandwidth than you can ever use, tools like joomla, wordpress, ecommerce baskets, photo galleries etc all configured with one click via simple scripts... super!

After having what can only be described as "EPIC FAIL" with streamline.net (those words still make me shudder), I stumbled across.. uhm.... oh... whats his name... lemon squeezy hosting.. no.. that's not right... aah..that's it.. the post above me...him...

In all honesty... I've only had to pester dan a couple of times with minor issues, but have always had a response within 5 minutes

We use a selection of hosts. Free Web Hosting and Domain Name Registration Services by Doteasy.com, BT.com: Broadband Internet, mobile and fixed telecommunications products and service from BT for home and business (shudder!) and more recently we have used Conceptstore.

I use OpenMind - have done for years without problem - support is second to none!

Total domain integration and an easy to use control panel (Helm), makes uploading and updating sites easy from anywhere around the world.

We use UK Dedicated. Highly recommended - and I'm not just saying that in case they spot this in their referrers.
