Just interested in what you guys use to keep track of yourselves, where you are, what you are doing, etc.
I'm a gadget boy through and through but when it comes to my diary, lists of things to do I can't be separated from my filofax. Nice big day to a page diary, plenty of room to jot everything down. It humours my partner somewhat that for such a techy geeky gadget loving boy I don't use iCal or a Google calendar, etc.
Every time I feel like I should be using iCal and the calendar thing on my iPhone (which is probably the least used app and the worst one supplied by Apple) I set up some things, like how pretty it looks with different calendars for work, home, company a, company 6 etc. I also like I can set to do reminders, due dates for to do and alarms for events which is something which would probably make me more productive and stop me having to check lists, rewrite lists which, of course, are stored in my filofax!
I use my Google and iPhone calendars for reminders and appointments, but it's paper all the way for me when it comes to to do lists, although i'm trying to remedy that!
I recently trasferred my diary onto my Blackberry - First because it is always with me, second because it recirculates recurring events which I tend to forget (you know the ones!)
The downside which I didn't think about is that every time I try to arrange an appointment, my diary is held to my ear!
I still favour page-a-week desk diaries, deep down..
I've started to use Windows Live for the Calendar and the To Do List. I don't really like the Google To Do list it's just far too fiddly but all my emails go straight to my G-mail account. Also it means that I can use Sky Drive and the Google effort whose name now escapes me. It's all about the free storage.
I used to be a paper diary addict writing everything in but I'm really coming round to the online option. All I need now is the money for a half decent mobile phone and hey presto I'll be fully connected.
I don't fancy getting a Crackberry though it would ruin my life, I like my own space at the end of the day.
I use Outlook synched with my XDA. I haven't used a paper diary for 12 years. Talkign of which - I get diaries sent to me every year by the various Chambers of commerce that I'm a member of - I should talk to them and see if they can do something different

I'm looking into options for project management for Mac at the the moment and they have a couple of good things but I'm wondering if the time spent learning how to use the damn things will be worth it and if they will be any more beneficially than flagging emails as things to do!
Basecamp is very user friendly and is web based so it allows collaboration pretty quickly too...
Just had a look at the basecamp site, it looks really well put together. Is it any better than other pm software like MS Project though $99 for the premium package is a fair old whack.
Well it really depends on how many projects you need to run. I wouldn't have said it's better then MS project but then it is aimed at a different market...
