Default Apple Rant

I'm a Mac boy. There, I said it. I'm not interested in starting a flame war but I needed to fume about Apple.

I've just ordered a new Mac Pro. Now most IT geeky types (whatever side of the fence they fall) will know that Macs are expensive. I decided to get it on a lease thing as there are some benefits to me doing it that way.

Needless to say, as this is a rant, that nearly 4 weeks after ordering I still don't have my Mac Pro.

Lease is sorted and all OK, but Apple decided to cancel the order. I'm now having to chase them daily as their finance team aren't responding (in any way) to a call back request - something they are meant to do within 24 hours.

It just occurred to me on the last call when I told them I would expect some substantial compensation for both the delay and then for cancelling a perfectly valid order that really they have me over a barrel. Had I been ordering another make of PC I could just go elsewhere. But where else can you get an Apple from?! So whatever they do, however long it takes I'm stuck!!

In fairness to them, in 3 years of being a Mac boy I've never had any problems with them whatsoever. The delay this time isn't the problem in itself, but the way the people I speak to handle it is.

/rant!

I'm a Mac boy too, luv them to bits. I'm sure there must be other companies that you can lease Macs from? Or perhaps buy now pay later?

Adam, if it's still not sorted, give me a shout at mikeboss@thebosscorporation.co.uk
Can sort the financing out for you and probably get you a small discount on the Mac

I have the best of both worlds, PC on my left and iMac to my right, we do the hippy shake shake for ........ ok i'll stop.

Mac Warehouse are good for MAC's and reasonably priced, alternativly I have a very good contact on teh south coast and he is Apple certified as a technition and will be able to provide you with any Mac items required, including software, along technical advice, maintanance if required. He also provide refurbished machines as well as the new units and second ahnd along side them.

His company is called Bruised Apple, Bruised Apple - Apple Mac Support Specialists works on his own typicaly and he has always been very reliable.

I do not have his card to hand and it has been a while since we last spoke (MAC's area dream once configured) but im sure his name is Paul.

Also just remembered that MacWarehouse have recently changed their name to Equanet.

MacWarehouse - Your number one UK Mac reseller

I hope this helps

Thanks all. Another day has gone by and heard nothing. Stupidly I don't know what the problem is as the direct debit is all set up etc. I'll see what they say tomorrow and unless they over a very good gesture of goodwill will look at the suggested places!
