Tens of millions of people use it ...unlike a certain other archaic system we could mention!
There's little or no manually entering HTML commands. When you go to post your reply (or start a thread), there's an automatic 'BB Code' formatting console there for a myriad of styles. All you need do is type or paste your text, select the text, then click the relevant button - and it's all done for you.
BB code is a set of tags based on the HTML language that you may already be familiar with. They allow you to add formatting to your messages in the same way as HTML does,
but it has a simpler syntax and will never break the layout of the pages you are viewing.
