I always wanted to know how people make money on ebay.. I thought the only want to make money was to make pennies, 50p profit on each time. With super thin margins. Often the cost of the stamp is basically at par with the profits. I've seen ebay businesses sell for super super low prices in order to survive on there.

I used to have an ebay store but pulled out because it got so competitive, basically 5-6 other people selling the same stuff driving prices down.

I thought that being a power seller was the right strategy, but one day one of my packaging suppliers went down. I think they were called JWS packaging on ebay.. I later found out that they shut down due to some financial difficulties. Their prices were rock bottom. I used to buy 100 c3 jiffy envelopes for £6.8X. Far lower than what anyone else was offering.
