Looking For Twitter Followers
Does anyone off here have a twitter account? I've just started playing around with it so am not too sure what it's all about but here is the account I have just set up if anyone wants to do a mutual follow.
Twitter / cbdirect
If this is not Twitter etiquette let me know though!

Great stuff, I'm now a follower.
By the way I just checked your Facebook group out and the website link doesn't work

At the risk of being the sole nay-sayer here, I just don't get it. I'm on Twitter too ( Twitter / ugly_doll) but I've no real idea why. I have yet to see anything interesting that anyone has to say, and I just don't think anyone is interested in any abbreviated comments I might make.

I don't get it either
Sorry but I just don't understand twitter at all. I have looked at loads of people's accounts but don't "get it"

If people post informative things about what their doing or have learnt or have read then it can be quite useful. If you choose to follow people who write "putting kettle on" you might as well sign up for a years supply of spamming.
I'm just going to add as many people as I can and then find out who the informative people are and who the kettle boilers are....which I will then remove.

Consider it to be a micro blog - you only 140 characters to make your comment. You might post a note that you've just posted a new entry on you blog with a link or that you're on your way back from a meeting and the trains are running late. From the sublime to the ridiculous...

I use it like a Google-visible news headline on my site that I can update by mobile phone. Excellent - for free.
Other than that, it hasn't demonstrated any other use. The whole follower/following thing is totally ego-dominated and it only takes following 2 people who put out 10 tweets a day to render the rest of the people you're following practically invisible.
Having said that, as a 'news headline' feed, it's great!

Reason: Too many 'greats' :-)

Twitter is great at establishing (and potentially destroying) credibility in your chosen niche.
Removing 'celeb' tweeters is usually a good option

Add me to the "don't get its". Strikes me as one of the most over-hyped websites of 2008.

Twitter seems to be at its peak now in terms of popularity. Time for the next new thing?
