Default 10 year .uk Domains now available at Ariotek

.UK DOMAINS for up to 10 Years now available at Ariotek

The Nominet rules regarding .UK domain registrations have finally been brought into line with registrations for Top Level Domain names.
The length of a .UK domain name registration which was formerly set at a 2 year maximum for both registration and renewals has now been scrapped.
This means that all new .UK domains can now be registered on a per year basis up to a maximum length of 10 years.
Existing .UK domain names can also immediately be renewed to add additional years. These additional years must not exceed the total maximum of 10 years.

The yearly pricing structure for registering and renewing .UK domains at Ariotek excluding VAT will be as follows:

1 year - £5.00
2 years - £6.50
3 years - £9.50
4 years - £12.50
5 years - £15.50

6 years - £18.50
7 years - £21.50
8 years - £24.50
9 years - £27.50
10 years - £30.50

*Please note: The total amount of years added, plus what already remains on the domain, cannot exceed 10 years.
If your domain has less than 365 days remaining you can add a total of 9 additional years.
If the domain is has between 365 and 730 days remaining you can add a maximum of 8 additional years

Good news, that. Was always fed up having to renew every two years. What took them so long in bring this into line?

A decent pricing structure compared to a few that I have seen, most companies seem to have increased there fees since this change in registration periods,

There have been rumblings over the years and the consultation with the Registrar's took place last year. General view was that VRP should be implemented!

Conclusion exerpt
"Offering registrations for 1-10 years could be considered to be in the interests of buyers, consumers, and businesses and therefore in line with Nominet’s public purpose"
