Default Pearl Wins Best Online Business at the National Business Achievement Awards

13-10-2008. Pearl is delighted to announce that it has been voted Best Online Business 2008 at the National Business Achievement Awards.

The Corkscrew Events National Business Achievement Awards are to honour companies that have excelled in their field and recognise their achievements over the past year. The fourth annual awards were held at Warwickshire County Cricket Club in Birmingham.

Mark Linton, Director of Corkscrew Events stated "We had many worthy nominations for the Best Online Business category of our Business Achievement Awards, which isn’t surprising considering how essential the internet is for businesses today. However, Pearl outshone the competition as their product and raison d'etre were so compliant with what we were asking of successful candidates: that the advantage and value that they give their clients through online means be of such a value that it becomes an essential part of how they run their business. Congratulations, your success was well deserved!"

Andrew Mulvenna, Director of Pearl, who collected the award on the night stated "We are honoured that Pearl has been recognised as the Best Online Business. We have come a long way in the 18 months we have been trading. That's down to the product itself. We always knew that the Pearl system is the best in the market for growing businesses and we have Chris Tanner, our Head Developer, to thank for that."

Chris Tanner is Head Developer and Director of Pearl and runs the team of engineers behind the Pearl System. He recalls "We started developing Pearl around eight years ago for use in a business that was lacking efficiency due to the use of disjointed systems. Software integration made that business more profitable so we are glad that we have been able to pass on this solution and as a result, made other UK businesses more profitable. Of course we are delighted that this achievement has been recognised."

Pearl has also been shortlisted for a Sift Media Software Satisfaction Award, for their web based accounting system. This award is based entirely on the views of buyers and end-users of business software. The winners will be announced later this month.
