What bands have you've seen recently?
We went to see Goldfrapp at The Assembly in Leamington last night. One of the best gigs I've ever been to (and I've been to hundreds). Sound was awesome, Alison's vocals were perfection and the venue top-notch. I'll leave Emma to comment on shoes/dresses/hair etc.
Who have you seen recently?

Nothing for a little while, but I volunteer for a local event ( The 'West Show' - see link for a bit of info) - and we've got a really great line-up of local bands and performers for this years show, which is quite exciting.
Because Jersey is.. well.. Jersey, we don't get a lot of the big acts over (at least not that often), and I think the next "biggie" is Will Young - so I'll be giving that a miss. Lots of local bands out in the pubs at weekends, though!

I can't believe it but the kids are going to the Download concert at Donington Park on Friday to see AC/DC
Nothing like kids hijacking the parent's music

Excellent, Ray. I bet you want to go with them , don't you?
I think my last gig/concert (what's it called these days?) was two years ago, "The Pineapple Thief" in Kingston. So brilliant, that I have now bought most of their back catalogue, and have just order their latest album.

Going to see Sage Francis tonight, not your typical rapper. I belive he was trending for a small amount of time on UK twitter after his song was played on radio one i think

Not bands, but I managed to get four tickets for a recording of the BBC's Tonight's the Night a couple of weeks ago. That's the show presented by John Barrowman. I knew nothing about him but I knew the wives loved him so off we went. What an eye opener. This guy is an amazing all round performer but more importantly we also got see Brian May live as he was appearing in the show. Not bad for free eh?
Incidentally it's being broadcast on BBC1 on Saturday night at 7.10 so see if you can spot BDW and missus in the front row. I'm the old guy with the funny beard.

I was lucky enough to see "Twisted Harmony" play near Croydon, on August Bank Holiday. I was so impressed, I bought their CD, and I've been playing it on my car stereo ever since - Amazing!
