[Updated at 3:15 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.]
Talented bloke but I think he'd kinda burned-out musically. RIP.
And how many people will remember that Farah Fawcett died yesterday too?
I'm sad Michael Jackson has died, in a nostalgic kind of way - his Bad tour was my second experience of a big gig, and I was a massive fan in my teens.
But let's face it, his star faded a long time ago, and this upcoming concert tour was never going to happen.
Now I'm bracing myself for the 'How to make your business perform ike the Peter Pan of Pop', 'What entrepreneurs can learn from Michael Jackson' type linkbait blogs all over the place today...
I was a bit surprised - actually thats the wrong word; I was a bit disappointed - to see that the sad news about Jacko was occupying half a page at the very front of the BBC news site this morning, yet Farah only got a very small mention, well beneath the fold.
I dont think you can put FF in quite the same league as Jacko, but I watched the original charlie's angel every week it was on and was never a Jacko fan but it's sad when anyone dies, famous or not.
Yup...suddenly he will be a saint. Of course it is sad, but he has been very ill for some time. He was a deeply troubled and flawed person, and many questions will never be answered.
His impact on the pop world was, I guess significant, although I am not sure he transformed it quite as much as claimed.
I like Farah, though!

Yeah, I'm not surprised. It's very BIG news. I read it here first and followed Mark's link to the story. Then I went straight over to the BBC to see what they had to say.
at the time of asking I couldn't find it anywhere on the BBC news site (still can't find anything saying it's suspected he was murdered) and the doctor and autopsy news was around yesterday before I went to bed.
