Times are hard I suppose. Who have you tried? What was set out in your business case/proposal?

Did you talk to them or meet them in person? Did you write to them with your plan or just email it to them? Investors won't even look at some cursory 'plan' - you need to show them cast-iron figures and demonstrate that your venture will work.

If you have a coherent and structured written plan then you'll fare much better. Remember that you're asking people to part with (gamble) their money.

I take it you've put your business plan together and approached the banks?

You need a business plan - it doesn't have to be super detailed or even that impressive. You need to note things like your company purpose, problem, solution, timing, market size, competition, product, business model, team, financials etc ready to present to investors.

I think you'll find that possibly one of the reasons you're not getting investment is simply the fact that 'environmental' is already saturated market. That and so far, the returns have been pretty terrible across the board - wind, solar, water have yet to yield the kind of returns investors have been used to in traditional energy markets.

I think you have to put yourself in their shoes, if someone came to you asking for some money for all these wonderful ideas they had, wouldn't you need to see some evidence that you'd get your money back?

They may indeed be wonderful ideas but you will need to put them on paper (let's not call it a business plan for now if that sounds too scary) to stand any chance.

Though it's not a new thread, I'd like to pitch in here by saying that the company I worked for previously got funding from company named "CWIIL GROUP". I agree with all the above that you need to have a business plan, or at least tell them what your project is about, how it'll benefit_____________, how it'll create income for yourself and investors, and other things like that, and from that they'll help you make your business plan. Give them a call, you can find them on a google search. Wish you all the best !
