Gotta agree with the original mention of Money Saving Expert. Time and time again it's lead to some huge savings for me a dn I love the way it ties it all together, linking through to the cashback sites, the various insurance sites and such like. All the info in one place and constantly updated. Plus some great email tips each week.
My best saving to date? Car insurance for £46 fully comp compared to a £268 renewal quote
Money Saving Expert has saved me a small fortune over the last 4 years. Has enabled me to reclaim bank charges, get tax back for a little known childrens benefit - £1200 that one, and it took 6 weeks!
Free cinema tickets too...
There are loads of things I use day to day with Clients which are out there and free and work really well. Google Calendar so we can share diaries over the internet, Microsoft Office Live, so we can share documents over the internet and alway have access to the most current one, Evernote - a free app for iphone which allows you to sync notes between your desktop and your iphone.
I am sure we could all find ideas like this to share as well which save us money.
By the way I use Quidco (keep forgetting about it) and Hot UK deals and think they are great.
I will echo the MSE Forum recommendations, I have been on there since 2005 and it has helped me save a fortune. In general it is a good community with over a million users. There is alot of information. At the very least subscribe to the newsletter... see the archive of newsletters... http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/archive
Anybody on facebook? Its not just a play thing, even if you have a "playing" account you can still use their advertising, has done me very well and I started off with this voucher from the visa network, you get a $100 voucher when you sign up, probably their way of paying FB per lead, but anyway, its a good way to get started and its free.
I pay a little bit more than that I know, but I have still had my ad shown almost half a million every few days, so good branding if nothing else, and getting a not bad click rate, adverts can be set to target, ie business, directors etc.

Glad to see its helped, make sure you see where the voucher is Phil, I emailed support to make sure it was taken in, worth an email when its £60 of ad space lol!
Heres another useful free to use cloud service. Its called Evernote
It is an online searchable notebook. you can email notes to your self and use webclips too. I installed a web clipper add in to firefox and with one click i can add a complete web page or just text to my Evernote notebook.
Gmail is good as its searchable but this will come in handy methinks.
