Default Anyone used FreeAgent?

A short while ago, I came across an online accounts system called FreeAgent, aimed at freelancers and small companies. I think it's brilliant (see my testimonial here: User Testimonials - FreeAgent Central), but thought I'd stick a post in here to see if anyone else has experience with it?

Hi Mat, my testimonial could be looked at as biased as we recommend our clients to use FreeAgent, but just the fact that you can see how much tax you have to pay personally as well as how much your company pay is worth a mention. Its this kind of clever thinking that makes FreeAgent a really good application for Professional Contractors and freelancers, IMHO.

Agreed. It also makes lending to or from the company a doddle, which is great if you need a bit of flexibility where cash flow is concerned.

As I have found recently, there are a lot of very good online bookkeeping sites now. Far better than 3 years ago when I last looked and they had only just started with the basic offerings.

Freeagent is one but there are at least another 15 or so that I know of and probably some more that I don't.

The best thing about these sites is the free trial. You can listen to other people recommend and wax lyrical about sites, but until you try it for yourself, you will have no way of knowing if you will be able to live with that site or not.

Sign up for all the free trials you can find, try and do your normal bookkeeping, invoicing, journals, mistakes etc., and then make a decision based on how you find things and how they respond to your queries.

I actually stumbled across a few good online packages and some actually came free of charge! The difference in FreeAgent, that I haven't seen in another package, is that it's aimed at freelancers, consultants and small companies who have very simple accountancy needs and hold no cash or stock.
