I bet £5 coins would last much longer

I hardly ever see a £5 note these days and had thought they were phasing them out anyway.

Now this I can answer....

50% are in childrens money boxes (FACT! we have them!) - lifespan 2 years

The other 50% end up in the washing machine usually stuffed in the pocket of a pair of jeans - lifespan 0 years

average one year :0)
