Lightbulb mike

Hi everyone
I am really very new to this type of thing but thought I would try it out in order to meet new people and hopefully attract new customers. The business I run provides Health and Safety training, advice and consultancy services so if anyone is interested in this, I would really like to hear from you.

Hi Mike.

Do you think the H&S industry has peaked or is there more legislation (and jobs because of it) on the way?

Default Has H&S peaked?

Hi Emma
I don't think it has peaked at all. new legislation is always being introduced particularly since the UK is linked with the EC. The amount of legislation produced by the EC is amazing and UK must incorporate this into its own legal system. This inevitably will generate new jobs but perhaps the only problem with that is due to the recession, that number may well be limited,

Hello Mike,

Welcome to the forums, it is a massive grey area (well to me anyway) Health & Safety, I am just sorting out this side of things for the project.

Your capacity to retain this information is admirable, I had a headache by the end of one day talking about it

Hi Mike and welcome to UKBL

If you hear any horror stories about company employed Key Holders being attacked, alone, at night, I would be very grateful

PS.
Or even just tripping up and being stranded on site for hours with no backup etc. Cheery soul aren't I?

Default Stories

Thanks to all for your welcome messages, I have not heard of any such stories but from my time in the police, there are plenty stories I could recall of lone workers being assaulted and attacked. Just stresses the importance of not only good security measures being employed but the absolute neccessity that employers recognise the dangers of lone working and spend some money in order to keep them safe.
