Default how to send individual emails to groups?

Hi - I have demonstarted my technical inability on this site before, so apologies if this is another one of those stupid questions that everyone knows the answer to except me.
I have a group of very good contacts that I send regular email updates to (a newsletter type of thing). 3 questions on how best to do this:
- I've got them all in my contacts folder, but there are also people in this folder who I don't want to send updates to, can I group my contacts any way?
- I need to send individual emails to everyone in this group, to avoid people having and seeing other people's email addresses. Is it possible to press one button which send individual emails to people in a group, or do I have to physically have to send each email?
- Even though these are good contacts, I would like to give people the option to opt out of receiving these emails. I have seen 'unsubscribe' options on some emails that I have received, can I set this up on my emails?

Once again, apologies if these are basic questions but any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

If your using Outlook then try the Send Personally tools from MAPILab - Microsoft Outlook add-ins, Outlook addons, Outlook plugins and software for Microsoft Exchange Server. I have quite a few clients who use this and its pretty simple to use.

They also have some tools for running newsletters from Outlook as well.

Your are better off using an online tool as they are designed for mass mailing - using an Outlook Plug-in means your PC has to send each email individually - which if you have a big list or a slow connection could take a while! Plus they may not handle unsubscribes as well.

Google for mass mailing or similar and there are plenty out there (Constant Contact I've had recommended)

Hi there, It all depends on the number of email addresses you want to send to. You can create distribution groups in outlook and then send the mail to yourself and BCC it to the distribution group.

All the mass mailers for myspace only have a limited lifespan. This is because myspace don't like you mass mailing their users and constantly tighten their security to prevent spamming.

Thanks,

Rich
