Default Waterproof paper

A question for all you printers out there,

We're currently designing a new cocktail menu for a local bar. One of the issues they face is that they get lots of drinks etc spilt over them.

I was just wondering if there was a paper that could withstand this and where can i get it!?

Many Thanks,

Lee

You would need the menus over laminated. This would make them easy to wipe down if anything was spilled on them.

Gloss laminated or Matt laminated should do the trick but best to call a few printers up they'd be able to advise on this properly

I got a good deal on some from Paper Manufacturers | Paper Suppliers | Specialist | Paper | James Cropper plc | Cumbria, UK. They have the Paper Mill shops around the country.

Hi Lee,

rather than lamination ask for encapsulation as this will make the menu's watertight. We usually print these with a 3mm encap. You would be looking for a 350-400 gsm board with a 80 - 125 micron laminate.
