Out of the 114 only 5 have actually responded to joomla's challenge and then revisited.

The reason I did this was for the forum. I didn't realize it opened the site up to hackers but none of the weird email owning registrants have been back to try it so I am not going to worry.

Anyway, the site is backed up every day automatically so I can roll back easily enough I suppose, if needed.

As long as the users only have 'registered' status and your database as well as the home (wwwroot) directory files are being backed up every day you're absolutely fine.

I like Joomla and along with our site being a Joomla site, I've dabbled in a couple of hobby job sites for customers, and my personal website is also Joomla. It's easy to use, very modular, and Google seems to really like it

The only thing not "out of the box" on the RSS site is the Fireboard forum that's active in our staff login area and allows staff to chat, banter, and bitch about how slowly the night's gone.. ooh, and our job application form is Performs

On the subject of user activation, I found a very useful tweak that sends the account activation email to the website admin rather than the user - something we had to do in order to stop the influx of cheeky chappies setting themselves up and downloading our forms from inside the fireboard.

Joomla is a robust and highly customizable open source content management system.

We have used Joomla for a couple of websites along with some others. Joomla is very easy to use from a CMS point of view and because it is open source developers like myself, knowing PHP,CSS and SQL can edit templates etc to suit ours and our customers needs.
