Default Anyone experiencing slowness here?

Is anyone here experiencing slow connections, slow page loads, timeouts or other 'oddness' here at UKBL?

I'm having the above problems but need to know if it's just my machine? Let me know if there are any issues and I'll get it sorted asap.

Cheers.

I'm not experiencing any specific problems here, although I'm experiencing problems in general. I'm sure mine are ISP related. This site isn't behaving any differently to any others for me.

Fine for me. My internet has been slightly flaketastic this afternoon, but I'm just going to blame Jersey Telecoms for that - it's almost certainly not UKBizLabs

I'm getting the same as you Mark, seems very sluggish and seems to take an age for pages to change etc. (well it is at the moment....18.59pm). Have you got a dedicated server or are you on shared hosting?

If you are on shared then you really need to look at a dedicated server at some point, especially as the forum grows.

Not sure I agree with the need to look for a dedicated server - not just yet anyway. A VPS might be a good interim solution. You can get a pretty good VPS for less than $50 per month.

I find most of the people on here are not all that slow. I am happy.

I'm getting these messages regularly now:

PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 033B9341

I've no idea what that means, but a refresh sorts it. Any time I have problems I always just assume it's our ISP.

I have noticed today that quite often after posting replies, the page doesn't display properly any more. It all gets scrunched up on the left hand side and is quite unreadable.

Only going to another page puts the formatting right (IE8 by the way).

Most peculiar

Well I'm in a near constant battle with my PC (Vista) it appears that opening up more than one application especially if it includes either Photoshop or Illustrator causes my computer to cry. So slowness is just a part of my working life.
