How do you create/send out your quotes/invoices

I create in word (using one of my own templates) convert to PDF and send via email - Alternatively I send by post if the client so wishes.

Do you ever send them out in the Post?

Compared to (un-encrypted) email that anyone along the way can read (the email, or un-encrypted attachments); it's rather more secure.

You do have to pay though, but Docmail's "from 25p+VAT" pricing won't break the bank, and could improve response speed due to the impact of a physical version.

So it's worth considering us, or your Hybrid Mail provider of choice - though we're of course better, and cheaper than the rest

We do have a secure electronic documents system on the horizon, which is perfect for this kind of thing, but not ready yet .

We use Moobiz Small Business CRM | Accounting | Projects | Invoicing | Ecommerce Software UK which is a web based system (everything is sent as emails) to create cost proposals, invoices, track payment, send statements, even our accounting. Because it is a more complete business management system you get things like project management, to-dos etc.

We operate as a managed service provider so for the majority of our services its a simple set up & monthly service charge.

We have built our own billing solution that automatically generates invoices, converts them in to pdf and emails them. The solution automatically generates reminders and overdue notices on day 14, 21 & 28.

Over 60% of our clients pay by standing order which really helps with cash flow, 30% via BACS and approx 10% by chq.

If you're a fan of cloud applications and accessing your data then Free Agent Central is a must.

I tried a number of different programs, excel spreadsheets and so on before discovering freeagent and our company hasn't looked back since. We use it for all of our invoicing and banking.

I would definitely reccommend checking it out.
