Default Problem Solving Training website

Hi,

I would appreciate some feedback on the my new website. I am still in the process of writing some of the training packages, but the layout of the site is done. The training packages are primarily aimed at manufacturing based companies. The site is based in the UK and I would like to target UK companies.

Does the site show my products well?

Many thanks.

Chris

Hi Chris,

Your copy needs a makeover - it's all about you.

Six Sigma has tools/tecniques called VOC and VOB right?

Then write about VOC...

Having said that, I have dabbled a bit in lean and would be happy to link swap with you

Hi Chris,

The website design is simple and generally easy to get around. It's nice to see a website that doesn't make getting to the information you want complicated.

However, I think you would benefit from having a logo developed , or atleast look at using a nicer font, - the plain text alone doesn't look great, and when you combine this with the 'developed with Mr Site' link at the bottom it makes the website (and therefore your business) look unprofessional and home based. (I'm sure this isn't the case in reality but it's the impression the website gives).

Not sure if you can pay to remove that link but I think it would be worth it.

Also, because it was built with Mr Site, there are literally hundreds of errors with the website code (242 on the homepage alone). For a page with such a simple design and hardly any content this really shouldn't be happening and it can hinder your performance in search engines as well as mean that some people won't be able to see your site as they should.

If you were to rename your page files from 'Page 1', 'Page 2' etc to 'Lean-Training-Courses' and the like it's likely to help search engines understand what your content is about and could benefit you in the rankings.

I can't comment on your copy as I have no idea what on earth VOC or VOB is and I'm assuming manufacturing companies that you're targeting will. So I'll leave that to the experts as I'm clearly not your target market!

In a nutshell, a logo and removal of the Mr Site link will help, but in the long term if you want a really decent website you'll probably have to move away from automatic site building software.

Hope that helps,
Matt.
