We are pleased to announce the inclusion of the UKBL Business Directory. As part of the Full Membership package, you can now add up to five links to your various business websites.
• The Directory is wide open to the search engines - to maximise your SERPS (search engine results pages).
• If you wish, you can post different URL's from the same domain up to your maximum of 5 total.
• The Directory has not yet been filled out completely but is fully expandable. That's where we want you to come in! Please post in this thread the Categories and Sub-categories you'd like to see for your or others' businesses.
• To create a link to your website in the Directory, simply click on the main Category heading, then click 'Submit A Link' and follow the instructions.
• The links you create will automatically show a thumbnail of your home page, however it may be out of date. The thumbnails are generated via http://www.thumbshots.org/ and you can manually force the robot to visit your site by submitting the form on this page. Your thumbshot will be updated usually within 72 hours and you can only update thumbshot for links that are in the DMOZ.org directory.
Why not upgrade to Full Member now and enjoy yet another benefit. Pricing from £5 per month (or even less paid quarterly, six monthly or annually).
Thanks David, that's why we're asking for sub-categories. We don't want to overpopulate the directory immediately with empty space. What particular fields (sub-categories) would you like to suggest?

In Catering, Events & Hospitality, would Events also include Corporate Event Management?

However, I now find I can only submit a URL once, rather than once per category. Can I change an entry to "deep link" to a more appropriate page?

Hi Trevor. You can only link to a URL once (to prevent spamming across the categories) but there's no reason why you can't use other/deeper links up to your allocation of 5 in other areas). You should also be able to change your listing - it's probably just not been moderated yet.

Can I also have a category for our online backup service - possibly IT managed services (which could then include things like hosted Exchange server, etc.)
