We're working on obtaining a private means of live chat (to compliment this one) but, for now, let's talk!

NB: In order to minimise server load, please ask your questions in the forums. The Chat feature is for small talk! Same rules apply here as in the forums. No advertising and please keep it civil!

I may be able to help, if you want to go old school and use IRC
There are Java/web clients available like the chatbox you use, for those who don't use a stand-alone client.

You could integrate PJIRC in to a link on the forum (probably best to get it to open as a new window/tab - otherwise they will disconnect when they click on a different link).

I have looked into this (where time has permitted) but we're no nearer a viable solution. I'm going to be rather busy until late December when I'll seek a solution then.

A live chat forum section would probably be better as adverts could be displayed and seo reasons

We have a script we created in our ClassicPro Winamp plugin over at Skin Consortium which could be modified, it's kinda irc, simple chatroom type PHP script.
Admins can be added in, topic of the day can be set and a few other simple commands.
