Feature: Album / Portfolio - UK Business Labs

How are people finding the 'Portfolio / Album' feature? Useful?

All you need do is add a few images to your personal album and they're displayed randomly on the front page - giving you even more exposure!

It needn't be art or design either. What about uploading your business card? Your latest product? A screenshot of your latest website? How about your photo? (faces attract people!)

Tip: Put a quick sales pitch and a web address in the comments area below the image.

Thanks Angela.

If you click on your user name (top right on each page), you should see a box called 'Albums' in your profile. From there, all you need do is create an Album, then upload some images to it.

(You can also reach your Albums by clicking on 'UserCP' (top left) then clicking on 'Pictures & Albums' in the Networking section).

Once that's done, your images will begin to show on the portfolio section on the front page. Have a play around - you can always delete things if you make a mistake but it's quite easy to get the hang of.

Are the photos random? By that I mean that I have photos in different albums... will the photo on the home page go through all my albums or only a specific album/photo?

The reason I ask is that I have uploaded some of my custom Desktop Background images, don't think they would look good on the front page :-)

Hi Gerry

The photos are chosen at random from your 'public' folders. If you make a folder private, then it shouldn't be displayed.

Yup. Take look at some of mine. Add some links too so potential clients can click through to your site.

my profile only has:

Mini Statistics
Friends
Group Memberships
Recent Visitors

In the CP I only have "Contacts and Friends" and "Social Groups"

I can't find Albums anywhere.

You need to be a full member to use the albums.
