we have a facebook page ( i set it up as a "personal" page first, rather than business page, cos i didnt know, doh!) and then set up the fanpage.
i've done various things to obtain fans (joined groups and then got the people there to be my friend etc!). we have over the 100 now, so how do i go about getting a vanity URL? i cant see instructions anywhere.
thanks )

If you go to
Log in | Facebook you can set a vanity URL for your Page and your personal profile if you want to do that too.
Good luck and if you need anything further I'm happy to help.

Hello all
Some of you may know me others may not... not been around this way for a while
I've "liked" (still can't get used to it) all your pages and hope you will "like " mine too! Just search The Internet Marketing VA on Facebook. (Need to freshen up on the rules of UKBL, can't remember if I can post links or not!)

Damn, wish I found this thread earlier. I take it you cannot change a page name on FB unless you delete and start again?
Only just started really -->

Nope you're stuck with it .. however when you get to a certain number of fans you can get a vanity url for it. Can't remember how many

Thanks, its just having that all important keyword in your page name aswell, as I have just started I may just ditch the current one and start again.
I take it if you delete a page and then create a new one the URL for the pages changes as well?

I think you need to get 25 followers. Not 100% sure though as we are not quite there yet.

DB9 - unfortunately Adam is right, deleting the page is the only option. I had to do it a few times :-)

I can confirm...25 likes/fans before you can have a vanity URL. You can then create one here:

Must do a Sarah and go through - think I've missed quite a few of these
And I would of course love to get to 25 fans (if you are a fan that is!)
