Smile Stopping eBay

Can eBay ever be stopped? It looks like companies are trying but none of them are working. What will it take to bring Ebay down?

Ebay will bring Ebay down.
Failure to take action over the fakes and frauds will "downgrade" ebay in the buyers minds.
Continually chipping away, and failing to take account of Merchants needs will result in a slow and gradual decline in the quality of sellers.
Then there into a vicous downwards circle.

Wow, do you think so? (Thanks for joining Litmus ) - I think that eBay will eventually see the error of their ways when the profits begin to decline.

Thing is, they have enough finances behind them to hire the right people to bring them back again from any brink they might encounter.

Maybe the problem with other companies is that they have all focused on bringing eBay down, rather on building themselves up. People would be open to an entirely fresh way of selling and buying online if only someone would come along with it, rather than just try and emulate eBay but with some lame USPs bolted on.

That's a very good point. People are perhaps too fast to shoot down eBay when they are simply maximising their profits.

Default Ebay up prices dramatically for shop owners!

That hasn't helped me at all!!!
I have had to up grade to a dearer shop ,as to stay at the existing shop price from £6.00 per month to £14.99 per month made the charges more viable to go to the next level which will be £49.99 per month.
Quite a hefty rise in fees you'll agree but with cheaper prices at this level for putting items in my shop it made more financial sense.Plus we are suppose to be getting more viewings supposely then making us more money with more buyers.... we shall see.
As a lot of my trade is abroad ,I am considering opening a shop in the US Ebay.
I shall see how things pan out. What annoys me most is last month I employed a guy to make me a customised shopfront to match my website. So I don't want to really waste that money unless I have no other choice if things don't work out.
Fingers crossed.

As long as people are willing to pay their price eBay will continue to dominate.

I think they're impossible to beat at the moment. Too much market share.
