I am a team leader with 1ShoppingCart and I can assure you it is possible to use Protx with our system. All you need is your Protx Vendor ID and then follow the directions below:

1. Mouse over Setup
2. Click on Gateway Setup
3. Enter your Vendor ID into the Unique Gateway ID field
4. Click on Save Changes

If you have any problems we can be reached at 888-792-1961 between the hours of 10 AM - 6 PM Eastern Time or by email.

It's been a long time since I set it up, but I believe as soon as you try to go to the iTunes store through iTunes or when you first try to buy something you'll basically have to set up an account (all regular questions asked) and set up some form of credit or debit card payment. After that whenever you click you want to buy certain songs or albums they'll immediately download and your card will be charged within a day or so.

Hi Natasha - think you've misread. The OP asked about integrating Protx and a shopping cart not iTunes

Just bear in mind that you will need a merchant account to work with SagePay (Protx) as well as being PCI certified if you intend to use either their virtual terminal or the direct payment method where card payments are taken on site.

If you use the form method and disable the virtual terminal then you do not need to be PCI certified.

I didn't know you needed to be PCI certified to use Virtual Terminal - I thought it didn't apply as the card details aren't stored and are entered directly on SagePay's server?

Yep it applies in any scenario where you see or come into contact with the customers card details. If you have the virtual terminal then the banks will rightly assume you will have the customers details either written down or read out to you.

The scanning of your site only applies if you are using direct though. For virtual/Form terminals you only need to go through the SAQ (Self assessment Questionnaire)
