What have you bought recently?

I can never resist buying a good name if I see one. CanadaMan.com came up recently so I bought it. (Very nice seller, easy deal too.)

I thought it would be good for a blog, forum, or just about any website about Canada. It's easy to spell and remember too. Plus it's a .com so it ticked all the boxes for me.

We did a little bit of work on it to show its potential use and so we could sell a ready-to-go blog rather than just a domain (although, for me, it's the domain that has the value).

I've advertised it on the BE Canada forum but there are no takers yet. I need to find more places to advertise it. Not here because this is a UK place, and most likely not on a domainers' place. I need to find the right end user not another reseller.

This is more me thinking aloud rather than asking a question. But if you have any bright ideas for me that would be great too.

BTW, what do you think of the domain itself?

too much spam. Was getting around 1000 spam signups a DAY. and I didn't realy enjoy the subject. I am focusing my efforts more on carforum.org.uk with a fellow member here helping me moderate it (I really enjoy cars).

Also the amount of hate posts on islam forum was scary :S

In the UK most domainer / domainer sales are done on forums such as acorndomains.co.uk and the domainers auctionsite domainlore.co.uk

b2c sales are normaly done on sedo.

I don't buy and sell domains professionally. I normally buy them to use them, but I often don't use them and they are sitting around. I recentlu had an offer of $300 USD for cloudcomputingservices.org , however, I was planning of possibly of using the domain. I also saw what some other cloud domains sold for: Recent Sales of Cloud Domain Names so I am thinking either I will use it for myself or hold off for a better price.
