Default Shop Fixtures and Fittings

Where do you source your fixtures and fittings from? I've seen some pretty poor 'DIY' solutions in some shops!

Are there safety guidelines on how they should be constructed? If not, should there be?

What many people don't realize when they are setting up a shop is that a lot of suppliers will provide racking and display materials for free as it helps sell the product.

My family run many different businesses and retail-wise have been given more racking than they can actually fit in the stores.

There are guide lines, as this falls under the Health and Safety regs.

sued for an object landing on a customer?? rather not thanks!!

Alot of this sort of "fixture and fittings" can be bought from bankrupt stock supplies, and its cheap!

As mentions before, some goods come with their own presentation stands, as this helps with the image of said product.

I agree lots of suppliers give help when starting up because they want to also promote their products
