Good luck, Adam! Even if you don't win the top prize they're still giving away 300 free boxes of choccies.

It was quite funny earlier today as I blogged about this on one of our own sites and got a comment back from a friend who said they were interested in the chocolates but not the shed. I wondered what on earth they were talking about until I read the T&Cs again properly and discovered that they are in fact giving away a shed!

I thought it was quite a bizarre prize - chocolates and a shed - but perhaps it's a good way to get people talking about the competition.

Definitely is a good idea - odd things get the tongues wagging! I'd have to give the shed to someone (unless it is very small and will fit on my balcony!)

My first thought was that the winner could try to sell the shed if they didn't want it - or perhaps even offer it as a prize in a competition they might run themselves.

But to get people talking about it, what would you add to the shed prize? I think that men tend to hide in sheds, don't they? So maybe something very manly like cigars and a good book? (I've thought of other things but it's probably best not to suggest them here. )

I did think about home brew - Dave and I used to make it - but I thought that perhaps temperature control might make it difficult in a shed. Also you need water and some means of boiling up the brew. Nah, I think home brew is too complicated for a shed.

But if you had a fridge in there, you could stock it with home brew or anything else... ...assuming you could power the fridge. There again, we're talking about the UK, so who needs a fridge?
