McAfee. We've been in business for over 10 years and used McAfee all the time. Never, ever, ever been infected on any of our computers.
I actively dicourage my clients for using Norton. Past experience has been bad. One memorable occasion a few years ago there was a massive virus outbreak (sorry can't remember what the virus was). Before the updates came out, McAfee spotted it as a potential virus although didn't know which one. Stopped over 2000 infestations over the weekend. On Monday I went to a client (a boarding school) and all their IT was down having been infected. The virus had got past Norton without being spotted.
I have many clients and friends who swear at Norton and hate it. Off hand I can't think of any that love it.
Sorry Norton fans, that's my experience - YMMV
If you are using a Linux system I'd recommend Clam. It's free. It's also being ported to windows as ClamWin, but as yet doesn't do "on demand" scanning. Keep an eye on this
